Members of Georgian national junior judo team continue stable competition at European Junior Championship, ongoing in the city of Croatia, Porec. But there is only one problem, they go through the final, but they cannot become champions. Four judokas have already lost chance of winning gold medal. Leri Chelidze (55kg) and Vaja Margvelashvili (60kg), Phridon Gigani (73kg) and Beka Ghviniashvili (81kg) gained silver medals. Levan Gugava (73kg) gained bronze medal.  On the second day of three-day tournament champions and prize-winners were found out in 73 and 81 kg weight categories.  Four Georgians  wrestled on Croatian tatami and only Beka Dogvani (81kg) stayed beyond the pedestal.  Debut of silver prize winner at European championship 2011 (73 kg) was unsuccessful this year, he lost with Bulgarian Yvailo Ivanov.
Two Georgian wrestlers in the same weight category (73kg) lost with the same opponent, Levan Gugava lost in semi-final and Phridon Gigani lost in final with Pole Damian Zvarnovetsky, who became champion. Gigani had the most impressive fight against Khamkhoev.
Levan Gugava also managed to beat strong Russian opponent- in the quarter-final with Dmitry Zuev. Before this fight, he beat Portuguese renato Inatsio, Romanian Eduard Nikolaesku and Azerbaijani Afig Safarli. In repechage  final he beat Slovenian Igor Potraric.

Beka Ghviniashvili lost the second time with Alexios Ntanatsidis. He lost the first match in April, in the city of Greece, Mudania at Europe Cup. And now in the decisive fight, bronze-winner at World championship, Ghviniashvili who is the most titled among juniors unexpectedly lost final.
Before final Ghviniashvili beat five opponents.
On September 23 champions and prize-winners will be found out in three weight categories: 90, 100 and +100. Lasha Taveluri, rezo Tsulukidze (both of them 90 kg), Guram Tushishvili, Giorgi Kavtaradze (100 kg), Levan Matiashvili and Rostom Khakhaleishvili (+100 kg) will represent Georgia.
