Viliamin Aleksidze (94kg) unsuccessfully finished competition at European U-20 Weightlifting Championship, which is underway in the city of Israel, Eilat. According to Ramaz Gurgenidze general secretary of Georgian Weightlifting Federation in snatch he lifted 1470-kg barbell as for clean and jerk he did not participate in it, supposedly due to trauma. Today another Georgian weightlifter Zurab Tavadze (85kg) will compete at this tournament too.

 As far as you know, Georgian national youth team brought five sportsmen at this tournament and for this time only Shota Mishvelidze (62kg) has won silver medal and Giorgi Lomtadze (69kg) bronze has become bronze medal winner. Lasha Talakhadze (heavy weight) will lift a barbell on December 8.
