22-year-old Georgian tennis-player started competition at Australian Open today at dawn and unfortunately, she lost in the first round with No.72 seed of the world Japanese Ayumi Morita – 3:6, 3:6.
The match started very well for Anna, she won the first game and then later managed to make a break and advanced 2:0. But the opponent activated and in the third game Morita advanced and equalized the match 2:2.
In the seventh game which is called the decisive game in tennis, Tatishvili lost her serve and her opponent won the first set- 6:3.
Finally the match which lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes ended in favor of Japense player- 6:3., 6:3.
In WTA ranking which was renovated two weeks ago Anna is No.54 place but she could not manage to defend 100 points at this tournament and as a result she will have regress in ranking.
