At Least 15 Countries will Wrestle on Tbilisi Tatami

Official website of Georgian Judo Federation published the list of those countries which will arrive in Tbilisi in two weeks and will participate in international tournament at Sports Palace on February 2-3. World Cup is named European Open now.

Japanese, French, Dutch, Russian, English, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Canadian, Iranian, Australian, Armenian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Indian and Greek judokas will wrestle on Georgian tatami.

Deadline of sending applications is February 1. It is interesting that Azerbaijani team is not in the list yet. This team is coached by Peter Seisenbacher, former head coach of Georgian judo team. The Austrian specialist does not coach the team for wrestling in Georgia. So, if the Azerbaijani delegation arrives, those judokas will not be coached by Seisenbacher.

The Georgian team will compete with four staffs. Irakli Uznadze, new head coach of the team, will make choice on medal winners of Georgian Championship. The Georgians will start meeting in Tbilisi tomorrow.
