As we have already written Georgian tennis player Maka Chakhnashvili started participation in the qualifying draw of Grand Slam US Open. However, she could not achieve success. Maka lost to Vesna Dolonc of Serbia 2:6, 5:7.

Georgian top seed Anna Tatishvili is in the main draw which will start on August 27. Ballot will be held on August 23 and we will found out who will be opponent of the Georgian.

Ekaterine Gorgodze lost to Nicolette van Uitert of Holland 4:6, 6:3, 1:6 at Enschede (Holland, 10 000 USD). Sofia Kvatsabaia will play against Camille Cheli of France.

In doubles draw the Georgian tennis players defeated Dutch players – Luttikhuis and van Bennekom 6:2, 6:3. In ¼ final they will play against Germans (Sabay-Stemmer).
