All three teams of Georgian basketball players held tough games in the sixth round of Euroleague. “Mapooro Cantu” of Manuchar Markoishvili lost its game. The Italian club visited “Olimpija” in Ljubljana and lost 79:81. The Georgian basketball player earned 15 points in 29:26 minutes and was one of the best among the guests. Manuchar was in lineup. He scored 1 from 5 2 points, 3 from 5 3 points and all 4 free throws. The Georgian defender earned 2 rebounds and received 4 personal fouls. Two fouls were committed against him.
Pietro Aradori scored the most 20 points from “Cantu”. Jaka Blazic was the best from the Slovenian team. He earned 30 points in 32 minutes. The team of Markoishvili has 2 victories and 4 failures. The team is in the 6th place in Group A. “Cantu” is one victory behind third-placed “Fenerbahce” Istanbul.
“Montepaschi” of Viktor Sanikidze improved situation after three failures in Group B. The team won three games in a row in Berlin where they defeated “ALBA” 75:73. The Georgian forward was in lineup but did not play for a long time.
In 08:57 minutes “Vika” missed 2 2 points, earned 2 rebounds, lost the ball once and one foul was committed against him. Bobby Brown of America was the best from “Montepaschi”. He earned 21 points and 6 assists.
“Montepaschi” is in the third place. “Maccabi” of Giorgi Shermadini and Spanish “Unicaja” are still leading the group. The teams have five victories. In the 6th round these clubs played against each other in Tel Aviv. The team of David Blatt lost for the first time – 62:64.
Shermadini gained 2 points and 1 rebound in 11:28 minutes. The Georgian center used 1 from 5 2 points. He committed one foul and 3 fouls were committed against him. It is interesting that “Maccabi” shot 29 free throws (scored 24) and “Unicaja” – only 3 (!).
The seventh round of Euroleague will be held on November 23. “Cantu” will host “Panathinaikos” Athens in Italy and “Montepaschi” – “Maccabi” in Siena.
