“Mainz” became winner of German Wrestling Championship. Three Georgians were in this team: Giorgi Gvenetadze (55kg), Elizbar Odikadze (96kg) and Davit Bichinashvili (84kg) who is a citizen of Germany and wrestles for its national team.

“Mainz” became champion of Germany in 1977-78. In final “Mainz” defeated “Kolerbach” and Bichinashvili wrestled in the final fight. Gvenetadze and Odikadze did not wrestle in final.
