The last Georgian finished participation in World Championship which is underway in the city of Russia, Khanty-Mansiysk. Lela Javakhishvili (2455) held the first 1/8 final game against Dronavalli Harika of India (2512) with white pieces and played draw. The Georgian lost with black pieces – 0:5.1:5.

Besides Harika, Antoaneta Stefanova of Bulgaria, Anna Ushenina of Ukraine, Xue Zhao of China and Marie Sebag of France made through to ¼ final. Other winners of three pairs will be found out on tie-break. It is known that only one Russian will play in ¼ final. It will be winner between sisters Tatiana and Nadezhda Kosintseva. The world will have a new winner. Yifan Hou of China lost to Monika Socko of Poland in the second round. The Polish lost to Stefanova in 1/8 final.
