Georgian tennis player Oksana Kalashnikova won one set over No.3 seed Donna Vekic of Croatia in 1/8 final of Pune international tournament (India, 125 000 USD). But finally the Georgian lost 2:6, 6:4, 0:6.
The 22-year-old Kalashnikova is in the 542nd place on WTA ranking. She earned 22 points and it will advance her with 80 places.
The Georgian tennis players are still competing in doubles draw of “Royal Indian Open”. Kalashnikova and Bratchikova are No.2 seed duet and will play against the host duet (Bhosale-Thombare). Shapatava and Anushka Bhargava of India will play against Japanese tennis players - Date-Krumm and Nara.
