Michael Koch: "The Fact "Armia" Finished Participation in EuroChallenge, does not Mean It Is a Weak Team"

Yesterday, in the last round of EuroChallenge, “Armia” Tbilisi lost to German “Telekom Baskets” 77:102 and finished participation in the tournament. After the game, “World Sport” talked to some participants of the game.

Michael Koch (head coach of “Telekom Baskets”): “We needed victory today. It was quite tough game. Our basketball players were focused and mobilized well. We were good at offence, earned many 3 points and won.

I liked Georgia. It is a good country. I am fascinated with the city, fans and everything. As for “Armia”, it is a good team. The fact that “Armia” does not continue playing at EuroChallenge, does not mean it is a weak team”.

Jared Jordan (basketball player of “Telekom Baskets”): “It was obvious if we had not won, we could not have “danced”. We had to win. It was the only chance to play in the next round. We did our best and showed good play. We threw balls well and finally, won the game”.

Lamayn Wilson (basketball player of “Armia”): “Today we had a very tough game. Our opponent had good combinations and had leaders. They did their best and won the game”.
