Temur Ketsbaia, head coach of the Georgian national team, made the following statement before Euro-2016 qualifying:
“I do not want to offend anyone. I want to know which team will come out from the third and the fourth pots. According to the new format of the qualifying round, almost all teams have a chance”.
Ketsbaia was asked which teams he wants to play from the Soviet countries.
“It is no problem if we play Russia or Ukraine”.
Ketsbaia was asked about Ananidze and Amisulashvili. He stated the following on Jano: “I am happy he is a practice in the club. The Georgian team finds it hard to play strong teams. When the football players are without practice in the clubs, this problem is doubled”.
On Amisulashvili: “He will not be in the national team. Amisulashvili said he wants to be concentrated on his club. As a coach, I wished he had played for the national team for other two years but Aleksandre made such decision”.
