Georgian judo team held the first day of European Open without gold-silver medals. Only three from 12 Georgians stood on pedestal at Sports Palace. All three sportsmen won bronze medals – Amiran Papinashvili, Paata Merebashvili (both – 60kg) and Tristan Peikrishvili (66kg).

Today champions and prize winners were found out in 60, 66 and 73kg. Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 81, 90, 100 and +100kg. Four Georgians will wrestle in each weight class.
