In the third round match of Italian Serie 3 unbeatable “Cimberio Varese” and “Montepaschi Siena” and the match ended in favor of hosts, which beat the current champion 74:67.
“Montepaschi” is ghost of the last year and this match also proved it. The team which did not have competitior in the last championship, lost the first period with “Cimberio Varese” 15:27 and it is true, that tried to do its best in the rest of time, but in spite of this lost.
Luca Banchi manager of “Montepaschi Siena” again chose a strange tactic. Like the first stage of Euroleague, Georgia forward appeared in the start five, but the manager did not let him play in decisive moments.
Viktor played in the first period without substitution and in the third period he spent 8 minutes on the field, as for the second and the fourth periods, he did not participated in (!). Georgian basketball players scored 1 two-point kicks from 2 in this 18 minutes, could not manage to score three-point kick, had 5 rebounds, 2 block-shot, 1 steal and 1 assist.  Sanikidze got 3 personal fouls and lost the ball twice.
Daniel Hackett was top-scorer in “Montepaschi”, he scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, as for hosts, American Eby Ere scored 20 points, 5 rebounds.
“Cimberio Vareze” is leader of Italian championship with 3-3 victories, “Bologna” and “Banco di Sardegna Sassari” are leaders after that there are four teams, among them is Manuchar Markoishvili’s “Ceboleta Cantu” and “Montepaschi”. These clubs have 2-2 victories.  
On October 21 is held the next round. Pesaro hosts “Scavolini”, as for Cantu it hosts “Enel Brindisi”.
