Viktor Sanikidze’s “Montepasch” gained the third victory in Top 16 of Euro League, Georgian forward was again one of the best. In the  match against “Khimk” (82:76) Sanikidze gained 11 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block shot and 1 turnover in 26:42 minutes and was very close to double-double.

It is remarkable that in the first quarter “Montepasch” seemed very weak but soon they managed to mobilize and gained very important victory. Sanikidze played one of the important roles in this victory. Viktor scored 3 penalties from 4 and all 4 two-point kicks, could not manage to score three-point kick, 5 from 9 rebounds and he had one of the best coefficients in the club.

Giorgi Shermadini had a good debut in “Olimpiakos” of Pireos. His club lost with “Barcelona” 68:76 but in spite of this, Georgian centre used 07:29 minutes very well and according to the coefficients was in the third place (10). Shermadini scored 2-point kick from 3 and added three rebounds to six points and 1 turnover. It is remarkable that he did not gain any personal fouls. So, Georgian centre did well for taking place in the main staff.

In Top 16 group “Montepasch” gained three victories and it is leader with “Caja Laboral” of Spain, as for “Olimpiacos” it is in the sixth place with one victory. On January 16, 17 and 18 are held the next Euroleague matches. The clubs of Georgian basketball players play on January 18. “Olimpiacos” hosts “Montepasch”.
