Shanava Finished in Top 3

 

Georgian grandmaster Konstantine Shanava (2565) took the third place at international tournament which was held in the city of Kazakhstan, Pavlodar. 107 participants of 9 countries competed in it. Shanava earned 7.5 points in 10 rounds. He was half point behind winner Avetik Grigoryan of Armenia (2581). Besides the Georgian chess player, Vladislav Artemiev (Russia, 2461), Semen Dvoirys (Russia, 2534) and Aleksej Aleksandrov (Belarus, 2607) had 7.5-7.5 points. According to the additional data, Shanava was behind only Artemiev and took the 3rd place. Prize money was 12 000 USD. The champion gained 3 000 USD and the Georgian – 1330 USD.
