Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili lost singles draw of the French Open but has a successful start in doubles.
Tatishvili and Belarusian Olga Govortsova defeated the French Stephanie Foretz and Irena Pavlovic 6:3, 6:4 and made through to the second round of “Roland Garros”. They earned 160 ranking points.
The Georgian-Belarusian duet will play against either No.3 seed Petrova (Russia)-Srebotnik (Slovenia) or Grandin (South Africa)-Uhlirova (Czech Republic). If Tatishvili and Govortsova overcome the next obstacle, they will earn 280 points.
Another Georgian tennis player Oksana Kalashnikova will play on the Paris courts tomorrow. Kalashnikova and Alicja Rosolska of Poland will play against Ukrainian Buryachok and British Watson.
