At the press-conference before the qualifying World Championship 2013 match against Belarus (September 7) Temur Ketsbaia stated that his goal is to create efficient team, which players will go to the field and will do their best.

Temur Ketsbaia:” new cycle starts. You know very well what kind it your group, very difficult matches are ahead us. We are having prepared for four days. I assure that we will do our best for achieving our goal. Our goal is players to go to the field and do their best. Georgian fans demand it. There are some problems and changes and you know about it. Those who are in the team are in good physical condition”.
- Georgi Kondratiev chairman of Belarusian national team stated that he had not noticed stars in Georgian national team, what can say about opponents?
-  We would like to have not only starts, team which will do its best. I also do not see stars in their team too.
-  Belarusian football has had progress recently, BATE systematically is in Champions League and Europe League, it means that Belarusian football is progressing.
- Injured Hleb will not play for Belarus. His career is regressing buy he is the biggest football player and he had a successful career. It is good for us that he will not play.
- What kind of result will be positive for you?
- Victory will be positive result for me. I want guys to go to the field and to their best, but if the opponent is stronger than you nothing can be done.
- You called up Mate Vatsadze and Jaba Dvali, who did not come for meeting, you also called up Zurab Arziani…
- We called up Vatsadze and he is injured, plus he was transferred and it is good that he will play for better championship. Dvali is also injured. As for Arziani, he was injured but in spite of this he played the previous match.
- You have two strikers in the team..
- Spain won European championship without a striker.
- What about psychological readiness in the team?
- Did you notice anything that we have some problems in it? Guys are determined very much.
- What is the trump of Georgian national team?
- Our trump is determination. We want to win and it goes without saying that we have to offend, if we will have chance of it.
- You stated that you are focused on the future. It can be said that Kobiashvili and Iashvili will not play for national team any more.
- Maybe it is my fault that I did not tell them what was necessary to say at the beginning. It is not easy to be coach and to refuse them who were your teammates at once. I wanted statement to come from the second side, but when time passed, I had to do what was necessary for Georgian football. I talked to “Yashka”, we could not connect to “Kobi”. If we want to create team of the future, I think it is logical decision, to let young players play.  I would like to thank these guys who did their best in development of Georgian football during these 20 years. We also played football once, but then we retired. Making such decision is not easy.
- I could not connect Kobiashvili, sounds strangely.. did you have communication problem?

- No, I did not. I called him twice and he did not answer. I called Iashvili, he did not answer but then he called me, maybe Kobiashvili is offended and it is ok, but I am coach and I have to make decisions. We have to think about future.

-  Rejuvenation process is underway, but there are not players who will replace old ones. In comparison with old staff, there are few players who play in the main staff of European clubs, the same about Russian and Ukrainian teams..
- We have to something for solving this problem. Only talking about it is not enough. It is not only players’ fault. It is impossible to create the team in one or two days. We have to let someone to distinguish himself. Jano Ananidze and Jaba Kankava will play at European tournaments.
- What will be the trump of our team in the future qualifying?
- Our trump is team football. We have to create team. It is good to be  focused on offensive and combination style football, but even “Barcelona” needed 25 years for it. There are somany problems in Georgia, not only in football that it is difficult football to be high-class. I also must mention, we do not want such fans, who will come to the stadium and will support to Spain. We would like to have such fans who will come and will support us. It is understandable that we are not such team, which will be glorious for the fans but in difficult situations we must be next to each other.

Besides this at the press-conference Ketsbaia mentioned that he will call up only those players who will come in Georgia in any case and who will do their best for the team. “ I am proud of basketball player Zaza Pachulia, he is injured for a month and due to national team he is taking such risk and is helping the team. We need the players with such mentality”-stated Ketsbaia.
