The Failure of "Kutaisi" in the Second Home Match in a Row

MIA gains victory the second year in a row in Kutaisi. To tell the truth gaining victory in Kutaisi is difficult for any club. “Kutaisi” which has a quite good staff is not among such clubs which is easy to beat. The players of the club are motivated and fans also give a strong support to the club. In a word, MIA became obstacle for two times bronze winner of Georgia in home matches.

This match again showed the advantage of “Kutaisi”- it is a short substitution branch. Dominating teams fight had great interests. It should be noted activity by Kutaisi’s fans, which had a big support with host team.

What about game, It was interesting and tense play between favorite teams. From the beginning Kutaisi took led and won first quarter, but then MIA Academy had response to the game and by the great brake had 10-points advantage. The next half of game was true fight between those teams; third quarter ended equal -17:17. At last this game won MIA academy and celebrated important victory-87:70.

Georgis Ketselidis (MIA Academy): After the first minute of the game we were concentrated. We used opponents' weaknesses and all these have brought victory. I would like to mention support of Kutaisi Fans. Very good atmosphere in the hall was. I think all matches of Superleague needs such a good activity from the fans.

Davit Ustiashvili (Kutaisi): I congratulate To MIA Academy. The game started well for us, but the second quarter was very badly, because of lagged to the opponent by 11 points. Unfortunately we could not keep up and lost the game. I think one of this reasons is weak play in defense.
