Tornike Shengelia May Play for "Boston" in D League

Tornike Shengelia, Georgian forward of Georgian national basketball team and “Brooklyn Nets”, may play for “Boston”, NBA D League, on loan.

Kakha Shengelia, father of Tornike Shengelia, informed “World Sport” with this information.

Negotiations between “Brooklyn” and “Boston” are underway. Tornike Shengelia and his teammate Tyshawn Taylor may play for “Boston” for three weeks. “Agreement between “Brooklyn” and “Boston” is almost achieved. It will be singed in the next few days”, - Kakha Shengelia told us.

The Georgian forward of “Nets” missed the most games of his team in NBA.

Shengelia could not play in the last games because of his left thumb injury. But it was not the reason of his non-play at the beginning of the season.

Avery Johnson, head coach of “Nets”, mentioned he wanted Tornike to have more playing practice. Of course, it cannot be done in NBA and that is why they are sending Taylor and Shengelia to D League.
