U-17 Team Started with Failure and Ended with Elite-Round

 

 

Georgian national U-17 team won the decisive match in the 13th qualifying of European championship and went through the elite-round. Giorgi Devdariani’s players started the tournament with failure against Ukraine (0:3), but from match to match they were improving playing and showed their maximum possibilities against Scotland. Everyone did their best against the British but Luka Zarandia was the most distinguished. Midfielder of Georgian team scored double. In debut match Zarandia had the first moment, when he received from Tengiz Gorozia, he kicked but the goalkeeper parried the ball out. Soon Georgian defenders made mistake, after Paul Macmilan’s assist, Roby Merhed passed through defender, kicked but it was not exact.
At the 7th minute, Zarandia passed through one British and kicked in a weak way, the goalkeeper parried it out easily.
At the 11th minute, Akaki Sulaia assisted to the centre from the left wing, Jack Harper gained the ball and kicked, it is not excluded Goshadze to have problem.

Soon, after Zarandia’s good assist, Ilia Kerdzevadze passed through the goalkeeper but his kick was out of aim.
At the 17th minute, after assisting of Shulia from the left wing, Zarandia kicked by the head and scored -1:0.
At the 24th minute, Giorgi Kharasihvili was face to face the goalkeeper, but could not manage to score.
In the responsive attack, Merhed was in a good position to kick, he kicked but could not manage to score.
At the 35th minute, from the left wing, Kerdzevadze assisted to Giorgi Kharaishvili, who kicked from a good position but the goalkeeper saved the situation.
At the 39th minute, after assisting from Henderson, Gagi Margvelashvili played well against Merhed and did not let to kick, or no one knows how this episode would finish.
At the end of the time, Kerdzevadze passed through one opponent in the penalty area, managed to keep the ball, but could not kick well.
In the second time, after assisting Luke Donel, goalkeeper made mistake and Georgian defender saved the situation. It must be mentioned that in this episode Goshadze damaged face but in spite of this he continued playing.
At the 54th minute, Zarandia kicked corner kick from the left side, Kerdzevadze could not kick, as for Jemal Tabatadze who was standing near the goal, kicked badly and missed the chance of scoring.

At the 60th minute, after Shulaia’s assists, Zarandua could not send the ball to the goal from a good position.
At the 65th minute, after the kick of Gorozia, the ball touched British defender, then the goalpost and then it appeared in the goal- 2:0.
After the second goal, The Scott activated and it can be said that they gained the initiative of the playing.
At the 68th minute, Merhed received the ball while standing among three defenders, turned around and kicked badly. Soon, on the right wing, Paul Mackmilan started attack, assisted to Baers but could not send the ball to goals after kicking by head.

At the 77th minute, Zarandia managed to lie one opponent, kicked from average distance dangerously, but not exactly.
The referee added 6 minutes, because of the first aid to goalkeeper. At the third minute Kerdzevadze was face to face to the goalkeeper, he kicked but could not score, when the goalkeeper parried the ball out, Zarandia gained the ball after that and managed to score= 3:0.
