Vladimer Boisa, former member of Georgian national basketball team, practiced with Italian champion “Montepaschi” in order to prepare for 2012-13 season. Of course, we have a question what status Boisa has in one of the best clubs of Europe where he already played before.
“World Sport” contacted Vladimer Boisa.
- We know you held some test games with “Montepaschi”. Are you going to sign a new contract with your former club?
- I have a lot of friends in “Montepaschi” where I spent two basketball seasons. Members of different European national teams play for this team. The team was almost empty while Euro qualification. Italian friends asked me to practice with them. These practices were good for me and for the team too.
- Where are you going to continue career?
- My agents are working on it and they will choose the best variant.
When will your team be known?
- In two weeks.
- Have you watched games of Georgia at Euro qualification?
- I have watched all four games against Bosnia and Latvia. I have not watched games against Holland and Romania.
- Are you satisfied with play of our team?
- First of all, I congratulate boys and federation on making through final stage of Euro-2013. If they had not played well, they would not have gone through the final stage.
- Are you satisfied with work of head coach?
- I do not want to estimate work of head coach. It is not my business.
- Tskitishvili stated that he will not play for the national team while Kokoskov is head coach. Do you share the opinion of Tskitishvili?
- I was and will be always ready to help Georgia where I was born, grew up, my parents, siblings, friends and relatives live.
- Were you ready to play for the national team in the current season?
- I was ready to play for 10-15 minutes.
- Will you be ready in future?
- Of course, I will.
- How long are you going to play basketball?
- I will play while I can. I will play for minimum 2-3 years.
