The Georgian national rugby union team hardly defeated debutant of Nations Cup Belgium – 17:13.

Because of the fight at the beginning of the match, Italian referee sent off one-one rugby players of both team. Davit Kubriashvili was from “The Lelos” and Milton Haig substituted Levan Chilachava with Dimitri Basilaia.

In the first 20-25 minutes the Georgians had advantage. They took penalties and played for try but could not achieve their goal. The Belgians scored try and used conversion. Merab Kvirikashvili minimized score with penalty but the hosts had advantage at the end of the half. Vito Kolelishvili was sin-binned. Belgium scored penalty and the first half finished 3:10.

At the beginning of the second half the hosts increased difference up to 10 points. The Georgian team fought till the end and thanks to tries, they won the match. Mamuka Gorgodze scored the first try and Levan Chilachava- the second one. Merab Kvirikashvili used both conversions and the match ended up 17:13.
