Georgian national judo team left for Brazil. On October 27-28 Salvador de Baia hosts World team championship and besides Georgian team, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Russia, Brazil. Ukraine, Cuba, France, USA, Algeria, Argentina, Great Britain, China and Venezuela will participate in this following tournament. Irakli Tsirekidze new manager of Georgian national team took new team for this tournament. Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Betkil Shukvani, Ambako Avaliani, Levan Tsiklauri Zviad Khanjaliashvili and Adam Okruashvili will miss this tournament due to injuries, personal problems and ignoring joint trainings.

In comparison with individual championship, championship is held in 5 weight categories instead of seven: 66, 73, 90 and +90. Winner team is found out according to the result in these five categories.

Irakli Tsirekidze took these following players to Brazil: Shalva Kardava (66kg), Nugzar Tatalashvili and Zebeda Rekhviashvili (both of them 73kg), Avtandil Chrikashvili (81kg), Varlam Liparteliani (90kg) and Levan Matiashvili (+90kg).
After ending world team championship, Georgian judokas will start preparation for Georgian championship. According to the preliminary plan champions and prize winners will be found out in November. When financial details will be defined then will be said the date. At the end of the year, Georgian team will be staffed according to the result of Georgian championship and then will leave for Japan, where it will participate in Zigaro Cano tournament and in joint trainings.
