Supposedly, Georgian Greco-Roman and Free-style wrestling championship, which is planned for the end of the year, will be held with renovated regulations and weight categories. In the middle of November, wrestling international federation congress will be held in Bulgaria and according to the spread information in wrestling circles, a lot of things will be changed at this congress.
“No one talks about it in details, but we also heard from foreign colleagues, that from November we have to wait for interesting news.  As far as you know, in November-December Georgian championship is held and we sent to FILA, if there are planned some changes, inform us before the congress, for being prepared for the championship and not to mass up the plan for the next season”- stated Malkhaz Jorbenadze general secretary of Georgian wrestling championship to “World Sport”. No one says anything about details officially yet, but there is suppose that wrestling period will be increased till 3 minutes and winner will be found out after appointing the second period, as a result of calculating points.
 As for weight categories, supposedly besides 7 in men new 6 weight categories will be proves, which will do favor of developing Olympic prospects of women wrestling. There are 6 categories in women, but there are found out champions and prize-winners in 4 weight categories at Olympic Games.  Decision of congress will balance weight categories in Greco-Roman, Free-style and women wrestling.
