The 22-year-old Georgian midfielder Zakaria Beglarishvili will transfer from “Flora” to another club. His contract with the Estonian club has expired and now he is a free agent. Zakaria transferred to “Flora” in 2010 and became champion of the country twice. He won Estonian Cup once and won Super Cup twice. In the current season “Flora” could not become champion but Beglarishvili held a good season: 17 goals in 28 matches.
In short, it is time for Beglarishvili to transfer to better team. “World Sport” talked to Zakaria:
- Is it known which team will you transfer to?
- I do not want to announce it yet. You will find it out after New Year.
- Is it Georgian club?
- No, I am going abroad. It will be better championship than Estonian one. This variant is real but I do not want to talk about it now. I am preparing in Tbilisi before.
- You have spent three years in “Flora”. What experience did you get in Estonian Championship?
- I am more self-confident. Playing practice, goals, championship and cups. It was good and I will always remember it well. I am appreciated there and they want me to stay in the team. I was told if I could not find the team, they would wait for me.
- You were among the best football players too.
- The best football players of the championship are named every month. I became the best player twice: in May and October.
- You scored quite many goals. Were you point guard?
- I was point guard and played on wing as well.
- Tell us about the level of Estonian Championship…
- It is not high level but not low one as well. Practice was important to me. I will transfer to better team after New Year.
- Why did you become champions this year? You took the first place easily last two years.
- “Kalju” held a really good season. We took the third place.
